We have discontinued the Authors Direct service. All users who have purchased or redeemed an eligible audiobook from Authors Direct will receive a redemption code(s) via email on the week of May 3, 2023 to redeem their Authors Direct audiobooks on Spotify, as long as the content is being distributed to Spotify by the author.

What does this mean?

• As of April 14, 2023, it is not possible to purchase or download free audiobooks from Authors Direct, but you can still listen to your existing audiobooks in the app until June 5, 2023. This means you will retain access to your Authors Direct content, as long as the content is being distributed to Spotify by the author.
• Existing users will receive an email the week of May 3rd containing a redemption code to unlock their Authors Direct audiobooks on Spotify. This means you will retain access to your Authors Direct content.
• If you don't have a Spotify account, accounts are free and simple to set-up, no plan is required to listen to audiobooks. Visit Spotify.com to create your account now.
