One of my pleasures as a writer has been to reimagine a classic story like Double Indemnity with gay characters. After The Winkler Case was published, fans began to send me messages suggesting which actors they’d love to see play the novel’s characters in a movie. That fed my own reverie, as I’ve long held a dream of having my work performed by a talented actor.

My dream came true with these performances of The Winkler Case and The Shadow’s Voice by Kale Williams. Kale’s performances are colorful, witty, sometimes moving—and so much fun! I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
